At Peaches and Pouches, we make sure that your body is working for you and not against you.  Initially, weight-loss is secondary.  We take the focus off the number you see on the scale, and place it on how you feel in your body, mind and everyday life.  We take a health-first approach to fat-loss. 

Eating well isn’t only for those who want to be lean.  It’s for all women who want to live longer, feel better, have more energy, and prevent metabolic syndrome and other diseases and disorders.  It’s all fun, games and a whole lot of denial until you get that medical diagnosis.  We also look at your connection to food and eating – what it means to you and why you make certain choices – even if these choices are subconscious.

A MEAL PLAN WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE IS USELESS

Education to empower is the cornerstone of Peaches and Pouches.  Very rarely will you receive a meal plan to follow to the letter.  What is more important is why you are given the meals in that meal plan, in that combination at that time of day. For example, we ask questions like:

At Peaches and Pouches, self-awareness in terms of habits, behaviours and thought processes are key to making lasting change and to not be shaken when hardships and tough seasons come your way.  We work on 9 Core Practices that will set you up with the skills to navigate anything that comes your way.  We use change psychology to help you take small actions each day, even when your motivation and willpower are at their lowest.

WOMEN’S HEALTH AND WELLNESS IS SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST CALORIES AND CARDIO

At Peaches and Pouches, we believe that the best diet or nutrition program is the one YOU can stick to.  It is one that fits with your budget, your schedule and your overall lifestyle.  There’s no point giving up that social life, or forcing yourself to do long runs each day if you absolutely hate it.  We will always find the food, the habits, the practices, the movement that you enjoy most and do the stuff that you are ready, willing and able to do.  If you want to maintain your weight while eating chocolate – then you will need to lose your weight eating chocolate too!  Let me show you how.

SLOW AND STEADY ALWAYS WINS THE RACE

At Peaches and Pouches, I teach you how to work on a continuum and to ditch the all or nothing thinking.  There’s no point making aggressive changes in short spaces of time, unless you have expert guidance, support and an evidence-based exit strategy.  So no crash diets or quick fixes are found here.  Our approach is “one foot in front of the other”. Just 10% better than yesterday – over the long term – to compound and create incredible and lasting mind and body transformations.  You too can be that success story if you just give yourself time and grace to arrive at your destination!

HOW TO GET STARTED

All first time clients start by meeting me for a First Assessment Consultation.  This is the first consultation that I have with you to discuss your nutrition, health and/or fitness goals.  We also chat about your dieting and health history to get a better picture of your level of nutrition and what area in your life needs our immediate focus.  During this 1 -1.5 hour session we will also discuss your strengths and struggles and come up with a long-term plan to achieve your goals. After this consultation, Kirsten will create your own personalised guide to get you started on your journey.  You can then go off on your own and try the steps and strategies out for yourself.
